Wrenbridge Industrial and Commercial Units Various

SWH has been appointed as Principal Designer Advisor on several different schemes for Wrenbridge Land Ltd, for a range of industrial, warehouse, office and external spaces.

SWH can showcase multiple schemes where we have been appointed Principal Designer Advisor, working together with Wrenbridge Land Ltd, to develop a range of warehouse buildings, offices and logistic spaces, as well as external service yards, landscape areas and road changes.

Our three specific projects include:

North Road, Stevenage

SWH have been appointed as Principal Designer Advisor on this 16-acre site to deliver three industrial warehouse units across 200,000sq ft of Grade A logistics space, as part of their scheme to create 1000 jobs in the Stevenage area.

Construction works include associated car parking, fenced and gated service yards, a new signalled junction, development estate access road, associated landscaping including an external landscaped exercise area and upgrading of the existing public right of way footpath to a 3m wide cycle way.

Health and safety considerations and construction issues on this particular site included restricted access, overhead HV power lines, which constrained the movement of plant, equipment and cranage, and an existing spoil heap containing asbestos, which required removal as contaminated waste.

St James Way, Bishopstortford

SWH have been appointed as Principal Designer Advisor on this 190,000sq ft employment scheme, which includes the construction of 5 warehouse buildings, divided into 12 units with open plan offices at first floor level and main foyers at ground level.

External services yards, vehicle parking and landscape areas are also included within the development. A part adoptable spine road shall run through the development to service all 12 units.

Dartford X, The Bridge, Dartford

Dartford X covers nine-acres and was acquired by Railpen in December 2019. Railpen, in conjunction with its development partner Wrenbridge, has delivered five new Grade A warehouse units ranging in size from 13,000sq ft to 75,000sq ft.

The new warehouses all have excellent sustainability credentials achieving EPC A and have been certified BREEAM Excellent. SWH where appointed as Principal Designer Advisor on this scheme also.
