Lovelace Park Bracknell
At Lovelace Park, SWH's BREEAM and sustainability team worked efficiently and effectively to ensure the industrial unit achieved the required BREEAM rating.
Lovelace Park is a large shell and core industrial Unit in Bracknell, located off the A322. As part of its planning condition, the building needed to achieve a BREEAM rating of Very Good.
Scott White and Hookins were appointed very late in the project as it neared completion on site, and, therefore, had to work quickly to assist the team in achieving the required BREEAM rating.
The construction of the building made an allowance for projected climate change to meet the thermal model requirements, and air source heat pumps, as well as solar PVs, were also utilised in the project.
A BREEAM compliant leak detection system and flow control systems were installed, along with water efficient sanitaryware to help reduce water consumption.
With the inclusion of these measures, the scheme successfully achieved the targeted Very Good rating.
Target rating – Very Good
Final rating - BREEAM Very Good Certified
