Site Waste Management
A Site Waste Management Plan (SWMP) is now required for construction and demolition projects over £300,000. A SWMP must be created for each project, whether its a new build, maintenance or alteration project. Failure to comply with SWMP Regulations could result in a fine up to £50,000.
The client must have a SWMP prior to the start of any project and the principal contractor must execute the SWMP for the duration of the project. The client then has to retain the plans and the waste data as proof that the site waste was competently managed during the project.
At Scott White and Hookins, we have designed and implemented many SWMP's, so have plenty of solutions to effectively manage the waste found on a project.
As well as preparing SWMPs to make your construction project compliant with regulatory requirements, we can provide training packages to develop your own in-house skills. We can also undertake waste audits of construction sites and provide expert advice on methods to reduce the generation of wastes and boost recycling.
