Marathon Man Update

Graham's Training SessionsFollowing on from our previous news item, we are delighted to announce that  Graham Barber completed the London Marathon – all 26 miles and 385 yards of it,  in an incredible 4 hours 59 mins and 54 secs.

On completing his second major marathon, Graham said “All I can say about the marathon is that if you have half a mind to run in the same event in future years…that’s all you need!

It was and absolutely fantastic experience and I would urge anyone even half thinking of doing it – DO IT.  The whole spectacle was amazing, from running alongside Mickey Mouse, Elvis and an armadillo, to the carnival atmosphere, fantastic support from the spectators lining the course all shouting ‘come on Graham, you can do it’ and the kids doing the ‘high fives’ with the runners all the way along”.

Graham would also like to thank to all those who responded so generously to his requests for sponsorship  “Your support has been truly amazing and very heartening.   I couldn’t help thinking towards the end ‘there’s no way I can possibly drop out now – I’d be letting my sponsors down!’  Not only sponsors either, it’s also the ‘good luck’ messages that spur you on”.

Graham ran for Lynn’s Bowel Cancer Campaign, http://www.bowelcancer.tv/

Graham completed the London Marathon as part of a team and they are still collecting sponsorship and donations at
