As part of our on-going commitment to Investors in People IIP and valuing the hardwork of our staff, we are delighted to announce the promotion of a number of our staff.
Piers Westlake – Senior CDM Co-ordinator
Piers joined Scott White and Hookins in in early 2008 as CDM Co-ordinator, looking after CDM and health and safety issues. Based at our Winchester Office, he manages all our CDM projects for our clients in the south and coo-ordinates Health and Safety framework agreements with Mitchells and Butlers, WH Smith, the Parliamentary Estates and Oxford University.
CDM projects include the refurbishment of the New Bodleian, Oxford, New outdoor swimming pool for the Hurlingham Club and construction and risk assessments for the Palace of Westminster.
Piers will take on a more senior CDM role and will continue to develop and promote the service to our clients in the south.
Paul Bosher – Engineering Manager
Paul joined Scott White and Hookins in 1999 as a graduate Civil and Structural Engineer straight from University. Over his eleven years so far with the company he has worked on wide variety of structural engineering projects within both the private and public sectors.
In 2004 Paul became involved in our Party Wall surveying work and has since acted on behalf of both Building Owner and Adjoining Owner on a wide variety of both commercial and residential projects, as well as achieving membership of the FPWS in 2006.
Since 2001 he also increasingly worked with our Approved Inspector arm, building and developing Client relationships in this sector from our Bedford office and recently achieved ABEng status.
Paul has always had a keen interest in sustainability issues and became a Licensed BREEAM Assessor in 2007. He has since underlined his understanding of sustainable and environmental design by qualifying as a BREEAM Accredited Professional last year and is particularly looking forward to developing this service from all three of our offices.
Ian Llewellyn – Engineering Manager
Ian first joined Scott White and Hookins in 2002 on a university placement and started full time in 2004 after graduation from University of Bath
Based at our Winchester office, the promotion represents the next step of his development within the company following his attainment to Chartered Engineer last year.
Ian is looking forward to his new role as Engineering Manager, developing his management skills on projects and within the office environment. He is also keen to use his experience of the chartership process to help the development of our team of graduates.
Derry Long – Associate
Derry joined Scott White and Hookins in May 2009 and is responsible for all aspects of Client Relationships, Business Development and Marketing. In December 2009, Derry was responsible for the launching of our redesigned website and improved marketing collateral.
