During the construction of a building or structure it may be necessary for temporary support to be provided to parts of the structure, foundations and earth works.
As structural designers we are sometimes asked to extend our design to include temporary works support for the structure. This might include specification and method statements for the installation of needle props, shoring, bracing, and other measures for lateral support and stability of a structure during its construction.
For foundations and ground works we are also able to advise on viable temporary support techniques to overcome stability and ground water problems.
