Founded in 1963, Scott White and Hookins is an 80-strong partnership providing civil and structural engineering, health and safety, approved inspector and geomatic engineering. 

With offices in Bedfordshire, Hampshire, Surrey and London, we are well placed to service clients across the UK.  Our expertise spans the public and private sectors including commercial, education, health, leisure, rail, residential and retail.

We have two subsidiary companies: SWH health and safety limited, specialising as CDM Coordinators, Health & Safety and Access Audits; and SWH approved inspector limited, which includes approved inspectors, party wall surveyors and fire consultants.  We also have a Geomatics division specialising in land surveying.

No matter what service we provide you, every project has the direct involvement of a partner as well as a senior member of staff, from start to finish.  This ensures that as our client you remain confident that the value of your project is optimised.

Our level of repeat business is very high, at over 70%, and many clients have entrusted us with all of their projects over many years.  This is testament to our technical skill, the quality of our advice and the value that we add through innovation and creative thinking.  It is also proof of the strong working relationships that we foster with clients.

Our size and structure allows us to be small enough to provide you with a personal, consistent and friendly service, while, at the same time, large enough to resource large and complex projects.

We always challenge ourselves to be better.  We were one of the first engineering firms to be accredited by BSI to the new ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System.  We supported the CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) and 100% of our technical staff qualified by 1st January 2004.  Our commitment to empower our staff to excel has recently been rewarded with Investor in People accreditation.

We are members of the Association of Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) and British Consultants and Construction Bureau (BCCB), and we are registered with Constructionline Ref 10493.
