As an apprentice or trainee, SWH will enable you to gain valuable ‘hands-on’ working experience, as well as a formal qualification, and earn money at the same time. From NVQs and on to other further and higher education opportunities, Scott White and Hookins will guide and support you to reach your goals.
Placements and work experience whilst you study.
Each year we offer work placements for university undergraduates, usually for a 10 to 12 week period over the summer. A similar level of support is provided to students. At SWH, we also offer sponsorship opportunities and longer work placements for those interested in taking a year out in industry or as part of a sandwich course.

All of our graduates enter our graduate training programme tailored to maximise each individuals full potential.
Our engineering graduates are encouraged to enrol on our formal Institution of Civil Engineers approved training scheme to become chartered. All other graduates are also supported to follow a formal scheme for an appropriate professional institution and continued professional development.
